These actors had onscreen chemistry but didn’t get along behind the scenes

Working together on set and doing endless press tours means that co-stars end up spending a lot of time together. Most of the time, these actresses and actors build strong friendships. Other times, however, actors can become irritated by their co-star’s habits and personalities. So while these stars may have amazing chemistry on screen, behind the scenes, they don’t necessarily get along. Eventually, this frustration can build until finally, these actors refuse to work with their co-stars again.  Keep reading to find out which co-stars refused to film together on some of the biggest sets.

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams

The Notebook is one of the most quintessential romance flicks of the century, and its a love story that sets hearts aflutter everywhere. But would you believe that the lead actors just didnt like one another? It’s true, even though they come from the same home town Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams just did not get along behind the scenes. Gosling actually asked to film the overly romantic scenes with a stand-in rather than with McAdams!

Once the film hit theaters, it became public knowledge that the two were now dating. Maybe Gosling was trying to fight his feelings for the actress by replacing her. Clearly, it did not work. Either way, if that’s how the pair really felt about each other, it just goes to show what good actors they are.

Wesley Snipes And Ryan Reynolds

Big stars are known for some of there not so nice habits, Wesley Snipes being among the many. While filming Blade: Trinity, he supposedly spent the majority of his time in his trailer smoking certain substances and generally being uncooperative. He would also refuse to film any scenes with Ryan Reynolds and insisted that their stand-ins be used for these interactions.

Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi

Fans of The Good Wife will remember how slowly actress Archie Panjabi had less and less screen time with the other lead characters. It wasnt long until sources began reporting on animosity between Panjabi and Julianna Margulies on set. Soon the two actresses stopped filming scenes altogether. And after the third season, it was clear that the scenes they both appeared in were clearly edited together and used standing.

The word is still out on what exactly happened, but it must have been terrible for these two actresses to continue filming the series with zero interaction between them. It seems fans got the short end of the stick on this one because many loved the interactions between the two characters.

Shia LaBeouf and Alec Baldwin

Being a method actor can have its ups and downs depending on the role one is preparing for, and Shia LaBeouf is no stranger to this. In fact, much of LaBeouf’s strange behavior over the years has been attributed to him being in character. Apparently, when he was in character for his role in the play Orphans with Alec Baldwin, he went a little bit too far. While in character off stage, and not during a rehearsal, he got furious at Baldwin and lashed out.

LaBeouf argued that it was all done in character but the other actors just couldn’t handle his tirades any longer. Proving to be too difficult to work with, LaBeouf was fired. Baldwin maintains that there is no bad blood between the two, though.

Bill Murray and Lucy Liu

Bill Murray is known as the lovable, funny guy and not as someone who you would think would openly criticize a fellow actor. However, during the filming of Charlie’s Angels, it was reported that Murray forced production to stop filming so he could inform Liu that she had no talent and he didn’t know how she had managed to even make it into the film. It took plenty of convincing for the director to get Murray to finish filming and Lui was apparently mortified by his statements.

After this unpleasant exchange, naturally fellow actresses Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore come to their fellow Angels’ defense and they refused to ever work with Murray again. Gene Hackman And Gwyneth Paltrow

Wes Anderson has been making critically acclaimed movies for well over two decades but one movie had some serious casting difficulties. The Royal Tenenbaums starred Gene Hackman as the father of the Tenenbaum clan and he was allegedly appalling to work with according to co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Anjelica Huston.

Gwyneth Paltrow found Hackman’s constant demands and rude remarks to be overwhelming and at one point he was so rude he made his co-star cry. But the person who took the brunt of Hackman’s abuse was Anderson himself who was constantly told what a bad job he was doing. That is until the two had a fight over a workout machine at the gym. This fight was apparently so bad that they came to blows. It sounds like someone was using it for too long or maybe someone did not spot the other when lifting. In any event, it seems like something silly to make these actors hate each other.

Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte

The film I Love Trouble from the early 1990s may not ring any bells but what should is the fact that Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte who starred in it both loathe each other now. The two actors were constantly fighting between scenes and it got to the point where they would not even talk to each other. Naturally, this made the press tours and red carpets for the movie very uncomfortable.

With Twister being such a success, Universal Studios Florida decided to open a Twister Theme ride. The actors were then asked to do a promo for the ride. Well, they did what they had to but completely separately which forced an editing team to cut their separate segments together. The two haven’t worked together since.

She decided it was too much for her and refused to film any scene that she thought was not wholesome. While Emma has her limits Tatum thought she was being a bit too uptight and it’s unlikely we will be seeing the pair on screen together again.
