Looking at pictures of delicious food can make you feel ravenous, but if you look at pictures of gross food, you can automatically go from hungry to squeamish. For these foods which are considered to be staples in most American’s lives, these enterprising ‘chefs’ decided to try them out in different ways. Instead of leading to some dishes that could be considered a culinary genius, they instead led to something that had most people going, “Ew.” Keep reading to see some of the most disgusting food combinations that Americans have attempted to make and eat. Hot Dog Pasta
This meal could probably be called an abomination, as it contains sliced up hot dogs, lasagna noodles, and condiments as a pasta sauce. It looks like it would taste like the inside of a fridge when there is nothing else left to eat at the end of the week.
Relish tends not to be a great addition to pasta, the same with mustard. We hope whoever decided to eat this learned their lesson, and then ordered some take out.
Egg Clouds
Eggs are the kind of food that you can eat for any meal. There are literally dozens of ways that they can be cooked, from sunny side up, poached, or even boiled. This person decided that they wanted to have what looks like some scrambled egg whites.
Instead of scrambling the yolks in with the whites, though they also decided that they wanted to dip some toast soldiers into the runny egg yolks. Now, it just looks like the egg yolks aren’t cooked enough to eat, and the egg whites are less than appetizing next to them. We’re ot even sure how you cook them to achieve this dish.
Sweety And Salty
Oreos have to be one of the most well-known cookies in the world. You can buy them in all sorts of great flavors, like a birthday cake, or simply go for the original. Pizza is also one of the most delicious foods, which this person thought meant they could, in theory, go together.
We’re not sure what the first bite of this combo tasted like, but we can imagine it was probably pretty gritty in texture. It looks like some sand was also sprinkled on top for some added flavor, although we highly doubt that it added to the already pretty weird taste of crunchy oreo and savory pizza.
Steak Sauce
A nice big hunk of steak has to be one of the quintessential American barbecue foods. The cut of meat has to be chosen from the butcher, marinated, and then grilled to perfection. It is pretty hard to imagine eating a steak with anything other than a gravy, or some fried onions.
For this mom, she loves her condiments and no steak is complete without the addition of a lot of people’s favorite tomato sauce. That’s right, she cannot eat her steak without a big glob of ketchup on top, which some people think is a major faux pas when it comes to eating a good cut of steak.
