Rumors say that Keanu Reeves and Angelina Jolie are allegedly Hollywood's new power couple

Whenever a new relationship emerges in the celebrity world, fans go wild. Even though the romance doesn’t affect them personally, people get excited to see that love is in the air for their favorite famous faces. Of course, they can end up taking that enthusiasm too far, too quickly.
It’s well-known that celebrity couples regularly face scrutiny from the public. Whether things are going good or bad for them, people always have something to say on the matter. In some cases, this has resulted in the pair going their separate ways, although there’s usually a deeper issue behind the split. After all, if you’re an A-list star, then you know how to handle the endless attention.

Putting their careers first

As the stars of blockbusters like Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Tomb Raider, Speed, and The Matrix, Angelina and Keanu are hot commodities in the film industry. They’ve spent years building up the incredible careers they have now, and it hasn’t been easy.

Sacrifices had to be made, to reach this point, particularly with their relationships. However, now that they’re here, could things finally change in their favor? Are they the solution that each other has been searching for?

Unlucky in love

When it comes to love, Keanu Reeves hasn’t had the best of luck. His last notable relationship was way back in the ‘90s when he dated Jennifer Syme. The pair were only together for a few years, during which time Syme fell pregnant.

However, she lost the baby shortly before giving birth. The heartbreak drove a wedge between the couple, and it wasn’t much later that they parted ways. That was nearly two decades ago, and since then, the actor has seemed reluctant to invest in a relationship. Perhaps he’s just been waiting for the right woman to come along.

The other woman

Although she’s been more active when it comes to relationships, Angelina Jolie has also struggled with love. She’s married three different men since 1996, with the most notable of these being Brad Pitt. Before their relationship had even begun, it attracted widespread attention thanks to Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston.

Jolie was accused of being the other woman in the situation, and it led to a lot of negative press during the early years of her relationship. Thankfully, she overcame that drama, only to end things with her husband in 2016. It seems they weren’t as strong as we thought they were.

Ready to move on

The fallout from Angelina’s latest divorce was massive, and in some ways, it still seems to be ongoing. Relations between her and Brad appear to be tense at best, especially where the kids are concerned. Luckily, Angelina may have just found a way to get her mind off that.

Given it’s been several years since she and her ex split, the actress has had enough time to heal her wounds and get back in the saddle. She’s supposedly ready for love again, and she may well have found it with Keanu Reeves. Is there really a spark between them though?

Out in the open

Jolie and Reeves aren’t necessarily two people we would have immediately thought of as a couple. Having never seen them together, it’s hard to know for sure if they have chemistry or not. However, that may change now that they’re rumored to be appearing in Marvel’s Eternals.

Keanu is reportedly negotiating with the studio for a role in the movie which would hopefully see Angelina as one of its stars. Of course, we might have an opportunity to see them together before then if they reveal that they’re an item. There’s every chance it could happen given how similar they are.

Children of divorce

It seems Reeves and Jolie’s lives have been going in the same direction ever since they were kids. Both had somewhat difficult childhoods thanks to living in broken homes. Keanu’s parents split up when their son was three-years-old, while Angelina’s separated when she was only an infant.

Having their stability disrupted like that probably impacted the way they lived their lives, and it perhaps explains why they’re supposedly now the apple of each other’s eye.

Estranged fathers

While being children of divorce understandably affected these two when they were younger, that’s not the only part of their childhood that was difficult. Both Reeves and Jolie lost contact with their fathers when they were six.

The former saw the back of his dad when he was arrested, while the latter moved to New York with her mom and brother. They had their reasons for cutting their fathers out of their lives, but it can’t have been easy.

Rebellious teens

The similarities kept on coming for these two once they hit their teenage years. Neither of them was the ideal high school student, with Keanu apparently being expelled from at least one of the four schools he attended.

The young actor apparently didn’t know when to shut his mouth and behave. Angelina, on the other hand, was a “punk outsider” who transferred schools because she didn’t fit in with any of the rich kids around her.

Discovering their passion

While they might have been troublesome in school, the pair soon found their way once they turned to acting. Both stars got their start when they were young, with Reeves and Jolie clearly naturals in front of the camera.

The more work they received, the more focused they became on crafting a proper life for themselves. Now, they’re some of the biggest names in Hollywood with plenty of work still being thrown their way every year.

In different circles

Although people in Hollywood tend to know each other, we’ve never really seen any evidence of that with Angelina and Keanu. They appear to move in different circles and therefore don’t have much opportunity to interact with each other.

Of course, just because we haven’t seen them together in front of the cameras, that doesn’t mean they’ve never hung out before. Even the most famous celebrities get a break from the cameras at some point.

Starting somewhere new

It’s possible that the pair may be seeing a lot more of each other thanks to Jolie’s new address. Following her split from Pitt, the actress needed to find somewhere she could call her own. That’s how she ended up in the neighborhood of Loz Feliz in Los Angeles.

The area offered her somewhere that she could continue to raise her kids in private, without having to worry about people watching her all the time.

Visiting his mom

Of course, Angelina isn’t the only resident of Loz Feliz. There’s someone else living in the area who has a strong connection to her rumored love interest – his mom. Apparently, this neighborhood is home to Patricia Taylor, Keanu Reeves’ beloved mother.

The pair have a close bond, and the actor never fails to visit her whenever the opportunity arises. If he spends so much time in Loz Feliz, though, surely he and Jolie have crossed paths at some point.

Undercover meetings

Having his mother in the same neighborhood as Angelina would undoubtedly be beneficial if these two were dating. It would be easy for the actor to go from one to the other without attracting the attention of the media.

Keeping a romance under wraps is challenging when you’re a celebrity, so any opportunity to do things on the down-low would surely be welcomed. At the very least, Keanu wouldn’t have to try and disguise himself when visiting her.

His own religion

It’s not just their past that connects these two prospective lovers. The duo are apparently also very spiritual people, with neither prescribing to a particular faith. Reeves has been asked a lot about this in the past, with some people misconstruing his response about not believing in a certain religion.

Although he doesn’t identify as something like a Christian or Catholic, he does believe in a greater power. Luckily, this man isn’t the only one.

Believing in something greater

When she’s spoken about her faith in the past, Jolie has given very similar responses. While she doesn’t identify with any religion, she does believe that “we’re not alone in the world.” She thinks there’s something greater out there that unites everyone, and that’s what keeps her going.

Having such an open view about this would likely give her and Keanu plenty to talk about. Of course, it’s not just their faith that they’re very progressive with.

Nothing to hide

Every aspect of Reeves’ and Jolie’s lives is under the microscope, thanks to their fame. That means as soon as people get a whiff that they might be interested in dating someone of their own gender, they jump on it. Luckily, the pair aren’t bothered by that.

Angelina has admitted to being with women in the past – most notably Jenny Shimizu – and Keanu has never denied the possibility that he could end up with a man.

Destined to be together

As if all that wasn’t enough, even their horoscopes apparently work in their favor. While Jolie’s June 4th birthday makes her a Gemini, being born on September 2nd makes Reeves a Virgo. These two-star signs are apparently hugely compatible because they both share the same ruler – Mercury.

Some of the reasons Angelina and Keanu would supposedly work as a couple include their intelligence, communication skills, and quick-thinking abilities. Who are we to doubt a horoscope?

Helping people

One thing we reckon would be a deal breaker for Jolie when it comes to a relationship is whether someone is charitable or not. She takes her humanitarian work incredibly seriously, and it’s become just as important to her as acting.

Ever since she went on her first mission to Tanzania in 2001, Angelina has made dozens of trips with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in an effort to help those in need.

Dedicated to the cause

The actress has become so well-known for her charitable endeavors that her work has been recognized all over the world. While it’s not uncommon for celebrities to get involved with humanitarian efforts, Jolie has taken things to a whole other level.

There aren’t many famous faces who can claim to be as devoted to helping others as she is. That’s why she’s received so many awards from organizations both in the United States and abroad.

Doing his bit

While he might not receive as much attention for his charity work, Keanu has definitely done a lot for the good of others. For instance, he has a private foundation in place to aid with things like cancer research and children’s hospitals.

The actor didn’t put his name to it because he didn’t want to take credit for everything that it had achieved. It’s that kind of selflessness that really makes Reeves stand out from the crowd.

Out of his own pocket

That’s not the only way that the actor does his bit, though. Keanu isn’t one to obsess over money, and he frequently donates a lot of what he earns to help those less fortunate. He doesn’t see the worth in being wealthy when there are so many people struggling in the world.

It’s hard not to admire that mindset, and we’ve no doubt it’s a way of thinking that Jolie could get behind. However, is that enough?

The kids come first

While Angelina might be ready to love again, there’s something else she has to put first – her kids. Whoever she brings home has to be right for her children because they’re her priority. She knows what it’s like being in their position, so the last thing she wants is to put a foot wrong.

Even if she was interested in Keanu, it would be a while before she was ready to make him part of the family.

Waiting for confirmation

Unless we see Jolie and Reeves hand in hand, their relationship remains just wishful thinking. While there might be rumors that they’re totally loved up right now, we need proof before we can believe it. However, that’s not to say we wouldn’t love for them to get together.

Given how similar they are, we reckon they’d work well as a couple, even if we do still secretly yearn for the good ol’ days of Brangelina.
