Meghan and Harry broke up the Fab Four because they "won't slot in line"

The Royal Family have been the talk of the town for many years, but it seems as though the addition of Meghan Markle has seen them more in the spotlight than ever. With rumors of a rift and an alleged feud dominating the headlines, it appears the Fab Four could have finally come to an end. That’s right; Meghan and Harry broke up the Fab Four because they “won’t slot in line,” according to a royal expert.

A sudden shift

Meghan and Harry, and Kate and William have been working hard to make sure the next generation of Royals are more prominent and involved with the public than ever before. The couples are often seen at a host of official engagements, and it once appeared as though they would always be at one another’s side.

That was until things started to shift, and it looked like things might not be all they seemed behind closed doors.

Three’s company

Harry and William have been the talk of the town for many years. Many people around the world fell for the young princes after the passing of their mother, Princess Diana. They might have been young, but it looked as though they had the public to help them through the tragic time.

Many formed a strong bond to the Royals as we got to watch them grow from young princes to working members of the Royal Family. Thankfully, the addition of Kate Middleton in 2011 only seemed to bring them closer as a family as the trio took on their new roles.

Room for one more

The two princes established the Royal Foundation back in 2009. This was in charge of running their charitable campaigns. Kate soon stepped up to the role in 2011 as the three helped at many successful events, such as their Invictus Games project for injured veterans, and the Heads Together campaign to help get people talking about mental health.

This was only the beginning. Although they were used to doing things among the three of them, they were soon joined by another: Meghan Markle. The duchess became another member of the team after walking down the aisle with Harry in 2018.

Building relationships

Kate and William had plenty of practice in the limelight, and it appeared they were picking up their roles as royals with ease. Thankfully, this was all the guidance that Harry and Meghan seemed to need as the two couples were spotted at many events.

William and Kate were busy leading the way, while Kate also seemed to be taking time to help Meghan slot into her new role in the family. It wasn’t long before their close relationship earned them the name the Fab Four. Although things appeared to be off to a good start, that was all set to change.

The initial cracks

The Fab Four appeared at their first official engagement when they arrived as the panel at the Royal Foundation in February 2018. Here, the host, Tina Dahelet, wanted to know if the two couples ever had any disagreements.

This was all it took to see the cracks starting to show. Kate busied herself fiddling with her hair while Meghan looked down to the ground. It wasn’t until William admitted they had and he had no idea if they had been able to recover from their last fallout that the world learned things weren’t all sunshine and roses within the palace.

Wedding day troubles

Meghan and Harry’s big day was about to show even more difficulties between the family. There were rumors that Meghan had fallen out with the Queen after she wanted to wear another tiara for the day and Harry demanded that Meghan got what she wanted.

However, the Queen apparently stepped in and stated that Meghan got what she was given. To top it off, Meghan reportedly made Kat cry at a dress fitting for Princess Charlotte.

A perfect cover

It appeared as though Meghan and Kate were at loggerheads with one another, but could that have been a cover for the truth? Many people around the world always thought of William and Harry working as a pair thanks to watching them grow up in the limelight.

However, many years had passed, and now, both princes were starting their own families. It seemed as though they could be the real reason for the beginning of the split.

United they stand

Emily Andrews is a royal correspondent for The Sun and reported the two couples didn’t personally see each other for six months after the wedding. In fact, it’s believed the only times they met were at official events, such as Princess Eugenie’s wedding and the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

According to Emily, a royal aide had confessed the family knew they’d made a mistake by trying to make it look as though Harry and William were still close.

Divided they fall

The reality? It seemed as though the two brothers were rapidly growing apart. It’s reported that William tried to warn Harry about marrying Meghan before the big day, but it didn’t go to plan.

It’s believed that William was worried about how quickly things were moving between the new couple. Sadly, it appeared as though Harry thought his older brother was trying to wreck his new relationship and was soon determined to prove him wrong.

On the move

There was another clue that things might not be going to plan: Harry and Meghan moved to Frogmore Cottage. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been living in one of the cottages in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

However, when it came time for them to move into one of the apartments next to William and Kate, it appeared as though there was a change of plan. Things were a little too close for comfort.

Breaking away

It’s reported that the Queen gifted Frogmore Cottage to Meghan and Harry, so they had more room for their growing family. Sadly, some believe it was another way to try and move the brothers further apart and stop any rift from dividing the family.

Others thought that Meghan and Harry could have opted to move to the grounds of Windsor Castle to try and break away from the rest of the Royal Family and start their own lives.

Rising tensions

It appeared as though tensions were at an all-time high between the couples as they continued to arrive at different events on the same day, and William and Harry announced they would no longer work in the same office as they wanted to concentrate on their own projects instead.

Although they continued to work on their joint charities and released a text crisis line named Shout, things were about to change. The Fab Four was no more.

The first and only

Meghan first joined the Royal Foundation in May 2018. This was supposed to be the start of something great as the couples held their first Q and A in 2018. It was implied it would be an annual event, but it looks as though there’s not another one on the cards any time soon.

It’s believed the struggles over money, status, the princes’ varied opinions of Meghan have all been enough to see the Royal Foundation split down the middle.

Looking for flexibility

That’s right; Meghan and Harry will now be working on their own charities rather than pairing up as a joint force with William and Kate. A royal source told the Sun that William is “sometimes restricted” thanks to his future role as king.

Apparently, Meghan and Harry want “the flexibility of more commercial decisions” without being held back by their brother and sister-in-law. However, others feel there could be more to the split than we have been told.

Defining the division

Many feel that a shift in dynamic is the driving force behind the split. Duncan Larcombe is a royal commentator, and he told The Sun that Meghan and Harry want to “do things their own way” compared to following in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Breaking up the Fab Four might not be a sign of a rift, but according to Duncan, it shows there is a division in the family.

Reaping the rewards

Duncan believes that Harry was the third wheel in Kate and William’s relationship for many years until he met and fell for Meghan. Perhaps all of that time standing in their shadow means the prince now wants to stand out on his own?

Duncan continued to add that Harry wants to make sure that both Meghan and himself get all the recognition for their work rather than sharing any of the success with William and Kate.

Losing control

That’s not all. It turns out that both Duncan and another palace insider believe that William is used to having all of the control. They both state that William was always leading the trio around and deciding which charities they should support.

Unfortunately, adding Meghan to the mix appears to have taken away his control. The royal insider believes that Meghan will help the couple become their own “stable brand,” according to the Sunday Times.

Different strengths

It’s believed the Royal Foundation was hoping to harness the power of the Fab Four to make it stronger than ever. After all, all four of the Royals bring their own aspects to the foundation.

Duncan thinks that William is the go-to prince for any organization looking for a prince to “come and open an estate.” However, Duncan believes that Harry is better suited to situations that need “a lot of media attention,” thanks to his fun personality.

Not all bad

Duncan continued to add that he believes the formation of the Royal Foundation was proof that the Royal Family always hoped the two brothers would work alongside one another. However, things might not be as bad as they first appeared.

Duncan feels that charities could soon benefit from the split. This is because the two couples will be able to focus all their attention and efforts into their chosen causes without having to compromise with anyone.

Only two options

Sadly, it appears as though the couples have been handed two options. A royal source told The Sun that they can either leave things as they are, or opt for a complete split in the foundation. It’s believed that Meghan and Harry will opt for the second option.

While it’s thought Harry and Meghan are in no rush to make any decisions, it’s believed that William and Kate want to speed things along as quickly as possible.

A long process

If either of the couples decides to split from the Royal Foundation, then it will only be the start of a lengthy process. A source to The Sun stated that it’s a “complex procedure and is very sensitive,” meaning everyone will have to think about all aspects before they can make any final decisions.

Plus, it will involve a lot of untangling of any joint projects to make sure that everyone gets what they want.

A longer wait

Many believe that the split in the brothers has been on the cards for many years. Harry was once third in line to the throne. That was until William welcomed his three children, meaning that Harry is now number six to take the crown, while William is likely to be king in the next few decades.

Getting further away from the crown could be yet another reason for Harry to broaden his horizons away from the Royal Family.

Separate paths

Welcoming a new son could possibly be another reason for the split. It appears as though Harry had long blamed the media for the passing of his mother. Now, the prince may want to keep his new wife and child away from the flashing cameras and do things on their terms instead.

Dividing the Fab Four means that William and Kate can continue to climb to the top while Harry and Meghan can slip into the background.

More reasons

The rift between the two couples may have also been created during Meghan and Harry’s time at Kensington Palace. As the Queen gifted Frogmore cottage to the newlyweds, it is said that one fo the reason’s she could have done this is to reduce the tension between the duos.

When Meghan arrived at the estate, it became apparent rather quickly that she was there and it was the staff who certainly felt her presence. Kate has always prided herself on being a member of the Royal family who doesn’t require to be treated that way.

Demands at the Palace

Meghan was known for being down to earth, but perhaps the Royal status went to her head and this started to put a strain on those working at Kensington Palace as well as Kate and William who weren’t too happy with how she was acting.

According to inside sources, Meghan likes to wake up early and has a strict routine and this is something she wanted the staff to get in line with. There were early morning calls from 5 am which even led the staff to nickname her “Duchess Difficult”.

Different treatment

It was rumored that some of the staff even went as far as to complain about her and some even left their positions. This angered Kate and William as they had lived alongside these staff members for a long time and in perfect harmony.

The first person to leave was Melissa Toubati who is said to have had a close relationship with others inside the palace but the demands just became all too much for her and she had to walk away from Meghan and the Royal family.

Future Feuds

Many different sources have come forward to comment on how Meghan has been since entering the Royal family but either way, it is clear that her husband, Prince Harry is standing strong by her side, after all, she is now the mother of his child. The Prince has also made a lot of changes since getting Meghan and this has left William and Kate wondered why the former actress cannot just accept Harry as he is.

After all, there is reason as to why the whole country has always loved Harry. In this case, we can only and wait and see if the relationship between the four of them improves. Here’s hoping!
