Meghan and Harry's time at Kensington Palace caused some problems according to staff

The Royal Family are loved by many all around the world. After all, their charity work teamed with their lovable presence has seen them become household names across the globe. However, there is one couple that appears to have got people talking more than many others: Meghan and Harry. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex might have moved to Frogmore Cottage, but it seems as though many are still recovering from their time at the palace.

Quite the arrival

Although it once felt to many as though no one would ever be able to replace Kate and William as the most talked about couple in the Royal Family, it seems as though Harry and Meghan might have just grabbed the title.

Ever since she arrived in the family, it looks as though Meghan Markle has got the world talking. She is unlike any other royal before her, and her arrival was about to make quite the impact.

Causing a stir

It appeared as though all eyes were on Meghan from the word “go” as the duchess stepped out into the limelight with a new rock on her finger. Yes, she was engaged to the once party-boy of the family, Prince Harry, and it looked as though the pair were about to settle down with one another.

However, her arrival was enough to see a rift form among the rest of the family. Apparently, William was worried that his brother’s relationship was moving too fast while it seemed as though Kate’s relationship with her new sister-in-law was about to head south.

A potential rift

It’s reported that Kate Middleton left a dress fitting in tears after Meghan’s demanding behavior was too much to handle. Meghan was busy planning her big day, and she wanted Princess Charlotte to be one of her flower girls.

Sadly, the two women apparently didn’t see eye to eye. Unfortunately, this looked as though it was only the beginning for the pair. Many thought that Kate and Meghan were working hard to outdo one another while others felt as though Meghan looked up to Kate to help try and guide her through her new life as part of the Royal Family.

Earning a name

It appeared as though Meghan was making a name for herself in the family – and not in all the right ways. It’s believed the duchess would regularly send messages to her staff as early as 5am as Meghan wanted to make sure that everyone was ready for the day.

Plus, it’s believed that Meghan was calling and messaging people throughout the day to chase them up on their tasks continually. It wasn’t long before many palace insiders started to refer to Meghan as Duchess Difficult. As if that wasn’t enough, Kate supposedly told Meghan to watch how she spoke to members of staff.

Just the beginning

It wasn’t long before many members of staff decided that enough was enough and left their positions. It seemed as though working alongside Meghan was just too much to handle. 39-year-old Melissa Toubati was the first to leave her role. The personal assistant had been working with the duchess for only six months when it was announced that Melissa was leaving her position.

Melissa was set to leave shortly after the royal wedding after The Sun reported that she was “putting up with a lot” in her role. It wasn’t long before many wanted to know what pushed Melissa to leave.

Too much to handle

A palace insider told the Mirror that Melissa’s job came with a lot of pressure, but that it was all too much to handle toward the end of her role. Apparently, Meghan would often give Melissa a list of demands that would usually leave the personal assistant in tears.

Melissa had previously worked with many celebrities, such as Robbie Williams, and was “fantastic at her job.” Sadly, the two women needed to “go their separate ways.”

A lengthy career

Melissa appeared to get the ball rolling as it was just a few weeks before there was another resignation in the headlines. Samantha Cohen, also known as Samantha the Panther, had been working with the Royals for 17 years.

In fact, it’s reported that Samantha was hand-chosen by the Queen and even worked as Her Majesty’s assistant private secretary throughout her time in the palace. Could working with the Duke and Duchess really have been too much?

Part of the furniture

Samantha first stepped up to the role in summer 2018 after Harry’s personal assistant, Edward Lane Fox, resigned from his role. Apparently, Samantha took the position as a temporary job. However, many believe that Meghan was so pleased with her work that the duchess asked her to stay as a permanent member of the team.

It’s her feisty and fierce personality that reportedly made Samantha so popular, but that was all about to end after nearly two decades.

Mixed reports

Although she had been with the Royals for so many years, it appears as though all good things must come to an end. Samantha announced that she would be leaving after the arrival of baby Archie, and has since walked out of the palace doors for the final time.

It’s reported that Samantha wanted to head home to Australia after so many years away, but others believe that Meghan’s demanding behavior was all too much.

Another one bites the dust

In just over two months, there was a third name to add to the list of people leaving Harry and Meghan’s team. This time, it turned out that Meghan’s bodyguard had enough of the duchess’ behavior and wanted to get out.

The unnamed bodyguard had been in the role for around six months before she handed in her resignation. Sadly, it seemed as though Meghan’s time in Hollywood was harder to forget than it first appeared.

A free bird

Many believe that even though Meghan was a Hollywood superstar, she was still used to being able to do what she liked when she liked. Unfortunately, that all needed to change when Meghan became a part of the Royal Family.

The bodyguard would often have to work hard to keep an eye on the Royal before Meghan suddenly disappeared. It appeared the bodyguard wasn’t used to working alongside someone who wasn’t willing to follow the rules.

Number four

Surely losing three members of staff were enough? It appeared not as Amy Pickerill soon became person number four to leave the couple. Amy was employed as Meghan’s secretary back in 2018. However, by 2019, Amy had enough.

Apparently, Amy wanted to be there to help Meghan with the arrival of Archie before leaving her position. Many believe that Amy and Meghan parted on good terms, but Meghan’s track record of staff seemed to say otherwise.

A new man

It appeared as though it wasn’t just Meghan’s record of keeping hold of staff that had started to get people talking. Many palace insiders also spoke about Prince Harry and how he seemed to have changed since becoming a married man.

Harry was once seen getting into fights with members of the paparazzi and falling in and out of taxis after nights on the town, but now, Harry was settled and left his partying ways behind him.

A growing list

The Sun reported that Harry wanted to be there for his wife throughout her pregnancy, so the prince decided to cut out everything other than water to drink. That was just the beginning.

It’s also reported that Harry has since taken up yoga and increased his workout, as well as adopting a vegan lifestyle – all thanks to Meghan. Many insiders believe the once life of the party prince is now dull as he has significantly changed.

Creating some space

Harry and Meghan once lived in a private cottage at Kensington Palace with many other members of the Royal Family. That was until they needed to make a decision: did the couple move into the apartment next door to William and Kate or did they find another place to live.

It appeared as though it didn’t take long to decide they would be better suited to a life in Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle instead.

Plenty of rumors

Many people wondered why the couple wanted to be so far away from Kate and William. Rumors of the feud continued to fly as fans began to think the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were trying everything they could to be as far away from the Royal Family as possible.

While the pair announced that it was so they had more space for their growing family, it seemed as though the staff at the palace would get a break.

Comes at a cost

Sadly, it wasn’t long after they moved that new rumors of Meghan and Harry’s behavior began to hit the headlines. Frogmore Cottage meant they were further away from the center of London – and the other Royals. However, they needed to do a lot of work if they were going to turn the cottage into a home.

In fact, it’s reported the couple spent more than £2.4 million (approx. $2.9 million) renovating their new home.

Making an announcement

That wasn’t all. The couple were eagerly expecting their first baby, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, when they first moved into Frogmore Cottage. Many believed the pair were planning a home birth, and it seemed as though security was one of the most important aspects on the list.

Just a few days before they moved in, there was a notice to people who had been using a parking lot near the home. It all needed to end.

A new name

Apparently, the new residents wanted to make sure they didn’t have to look out of their window and see people arriving to play golf or members of staff heading to work at the local club. Instead, Mehgan and Harry wanted to make sure that everyone parked in a parking lot that was over a mile away from the cottage.

It wasn’t long before the couple earned the name the NIMBYs – meaning not in Meghan’s backyard.

The first hurdle

It appears as though the arrival of Archie hasn’t helped the couple’s growing reputation among staff working by their side. Many members of the Royal Family have relied on nannies over the years to help raise their little ones while they are out and about.

It seemed as though Meghan and Harry would be no different. That was until the first nanny up and left after it’s reported that Meghan wouldn’t let anyone be alone with Archie.

Third time lucky

Another nanny came and went, with nanny number three soon stepping through the doors of the couple’s home in just six weeks. It’s believed that Meghan is so concerned about the people who are looking after her baby that she doesn’t want to leave Archie’s side and feels as though no one can be trusted with the job.

Sadly, no one knows if the nanny number three will be any different or if they will end up leaving their role, too.

Addressing the rumors

The palace has been careful not to comment on many of the accusations about the couple, but they were forced to step in and admit that many of the feuding rumors between the two princes and duchesses aren’t true.

However, it appears as though the palace is yet to talk about any of the palace insiders. Instead, many believe the team has been working hard to get Kate and Meghan out in public together to repair their image.

Making waves

Although it seemed like a good plan, it wasn’t long before Meghan’s public outings had people questioning her behavior once again. A few days before she took to the stands with Kate and Pippa Middleton by her side, Meghan arrived to support her friend, Serena Williams, at Wimbledon.

A fan was busy taking a selfie with the court when Meghan’s team were forced to step in and tell the man to stop snapping photos of the duchess.
