Flatiron’s new Made Hotel, has just opened the Ferris, a New American restaurant with lots of global influence from former Le Turtle executive chef Greg Proechel. Its cool interior and laid back vibe is almost as inviting as the delicious menu. Dishes we recommend include the squid with fennel, charred broccolini with timur yogurt and cashew; and duck breast with charred eggplant and jam. The cocktail menu is equally as fabulous, so don’t hold back.
Chelsea Market’s latest opening is from famous Israeli chef Eyal Shani, offering delicious pitta dishes. With locations in Israel, Paris, Melbourne, and more, Miznon caters its menu to each city. Here, we recommend the cheeseburger, lobster roll, and reuben pitas, but go quick because they sell fast. The street- style, fast food inspired menu, means you can order to go, super fast.
Simon And The Whale Studio
Restaurateur Gabriel Stulman (Bar Sardine, Joseph Leonard) has added two restaurants to Gramercy’s new Freehand hotel, the first is an all-day Jewish-Moroccan cafe and the second, a ground floor restaurant. At Simon & the Whale, the interesting and varied menu boasts dishes with Japanese, Italian, and French influences. Upstairs at Studio, a laid-back breakfast includes date dulce de leche babka and black kale bourekas.
