Times when the Royal family haven't acted very Royal at all

It honestly seems as if the Royals are far too perfect for their own good. There’s just something about the clothes, the hair, and that fixed-on smile. It wouldn’t matter how long we spent in front of a mirror practicing that wave, or the Royal curtsey, it just wouldn’t be up to par with Kate Middleton’s perfect poise, nor achieve the regality any of them seem to command. Well, it seems the Royals do have flaws, and we’re talking the brilliant kind.

This unmasked reaction

We almost never get to see an unguarded reaction from the Royals, but this one is perfect. Regular people don’t need to hold back their reactions if they find something shocking, or if they’re invested in a game they’re watching. However, the Royals are a different matter.

Although here it seems like these guys seriously lost a bet somewhere. Or perhaps they were just absolutely devastated to watch as famous tennis player, Andy Murray, loses when he was doing so well.

It’s not every day we get to see Queen Liz having a laugh, but it appears that something really got her going. The Queen was visiting Scotland, as she does every year, and here she was being entertained at the Braemar Gathering in 2006.

We’re not too sure what was going on, but whatever it was really had the crowd going, and it certainly tickled the Queen’s funny bone. Most of the time, she has quite a stern and guarded expression, something she had to master over the years. However, it’s nice to see her relaxed and enjoying herself.

A close call

Even Royals aren’t immune to poor balance, and it seems there was a seriously close call here. The Cambridges were traveling in a carriage alongside the Earl and Countess of Wessex; otherwise known as Prince Edward and Sophie.

Well, it seems that, while trying to get up and out of the carriage, Sophie nearly fell on top of Kate Middleton. The shock in the women’s eyes soon followed barrels of laughter as the two realized what had just happened. It’s not every day that a Royal falls over themselves, but at least they could have a good laugh about it afterward.

The real reaction

The world got to see some beautiful snapshots, as Kate and William presented their newborn baby for the first time. However, while they may look perfectly in control of themselves, a picture of serenity and calm; this photo tells a different story.

Here you can visibly see the complete and utter disbelief running through Prince William. After all, he has just gone from having a very pregnant wife, to having his first son. This was the first time the couple became parents, so it’s no wonder they dropped their guard for a moment or two. It was nice they could enjoy the moment naturally.
