This Woman Hired a Friend to Catch Her Boyfriend Cheating, the Plan Totally Backfired

Finding love is hard, but when you meet someone by chance in a mall, you certainly don’t expect it to happen. For Alysha and Kourbine, they thought they were just going to have a quick meet up and go from there but it turned into much more.

Love At First Sight

Alysha and Kourbine were like any adults in their twenties; they loved going to the gym, hitting the mall with friends, and going on dates. For Alysha, she had planned to have a normal day at the mall with some of her closest friends.

As she wandered from store to store, tried on clothes, and chatted with her friends, she saw Kourbine from a distance. When Kourbine looked over at her, their eyes locked, and that was it. From then on, they were inseparable.

Common Interests

As Alysha and Kourbine began to date, they learned more about one another, which made their connection even stronger. Alysha was in college, which meant she did not always have as much time to spend with Kourbine as he would have liked.

As a competitive swimmer on the varsity team, she often had to train early in the morning, and when not training, she needed to study. Kourbine owned a personal training business and also dedicated himself to leading a healthy lifestyle. Alysha believed that they were loyal to each other, and decided it was time to be boyfriend and girlfriend officially.

Going The Distance

While the two were committed to each other, or so it seemed, they did not live in the same state. Kourbine had been visiting Arizona, which is where he met Alysha. He was based in California. The commute between states was hard for the young couple, but Alysha really wanted to make it work.

She had not felt a connection like this in a long time, and Kourbine claimed he felt the same. It seemed like everything was going as well as it could. They both made an effort to visit each other a couple of times a month in their respective states, and they spoke on the phone whenever they could.

Constant Contact

With technology what it is these days, it was very easy for these two lovebirds to stay in almost constant contact with each other. The two would text, call, and send each other funny memes on a daily, and even hourly basis. Communication was what would get them through the times when they could not be together in person.

It felt like this would be enough for Alysha, and Kourbine seemed to be doing okay with the distance. Over time though, communication began to dwindle between them. They had not seen each other in a while, and Alysha began to fear the worst. What was keeping Kourbine so occupied?

A Seed Of Doubt

Finally, after what felt like months, Kourbine and Alysha found themselves in the same state. This time, they had decided to meet in Las Vegas, Nevada, for an event being hosted by one of their families. Both Kourbine, and Alysha enjoyed going out together, which is why they found themselves in a club for the evening.

Every time Alysha would go to the bar to grab drinks, though, women would flock to Kourbine, and she could see him laughing with them. He was acting like he was single, and she began to worry that this is how he was acting in California.

Betrayal

After seeing how Kourbine behaved, Alysha was left with an uneasy feeling in her gut. Was he committed to her? Or was she simply someone he saw when he was out of his home state? She began to worry that Kourbine had been cheating on her for a while, and she just didn’t know because she didn’t live in the same state.

Deciding to be proactive, Alysha enlisted the help of her girlfriend, who frequented the same gym as Kourbine in California.

The Truth

Paula Contento had been friends with Alysha for a long time, and she agreed to test Kourbine. She would go to the gym and start flirting with him to see how he behaved. If he flirted back and seemed interested, she would ask if he wanted to go out for drinks.

Kourbine was immediately interested in Paula, and Paula decided that she really liked him. Their date had turned into a real one, and the two had even spent the night together. Alysha was devastated.

Time To Break-Up

Now that Alysha knew the truth about Kourbine, and her not very good friend Paula, she knew what she had to do. She could not continue her relationship with Kourbine. If he was willing to cheat on her with Paula, who knew how many other women he had cheated on her with.

The trust was gone, and she needed to be free of him. However, she did not want to face him and decided to end their relationship with a phone call.

Innocent

The break-up phone call did not go as well as it could have. Kourbine refused to admit that he had been cheating on Alysha, even though she had the proof from Paula. This was even more upsetting to Alysha.

Why could he not admit that he had cheated, and at least offer her an apology? She decided that the phone call between them was not enough. Some more closure was needed, and she knew how to get it.

Reality Television

Alysha found that it was difficult to move on after her relationship with Kourbine ended. She wanted to know why he had cheated on her and why he had maintained his innocence the entire time. A social media channel had developed a show in which people can get a “Second Chance” at love.

Alysha decided that Kourbine and her would be perfect contestants and applied. They would publicly discuss what had gone wrong, and maybe they would get their second chance at love.

Wanting To Take Part

When Alysha approached Kourbine about being on the show, he immediately agreed to it. He had also had some difficulties moving on from her, and felt that it was time to set the record straight.

Both he and Alysha would have to talk about what happened from their point of view, and the audience would be able to watch alongside them. All Alysha wanted was the truth, and all Kourbine wanted was to give it to her.

Filming Their Episode

The channel was eager to have Alysha and Kourbine on their show, as their story was exactly what they were looking for. Confronting an ex who has wronged you, is a very tough thing to do. Alysha felt she was ready, but she was about to get more than she had bargained for.

All of the feelings, and memories were about to come rushing back, and she needed to be mentally prepared for that. Kourbine still had a place in her heart.

Denial

As filming got underway, Alysha was allowed to talk about how she felt in their relationship, and why they broke up. She could not get over the fact that Kourbine had cheated on her, and she kept asking him to tell the truth.

Throughout her time on camera, he continued to deny any wrongdoing. He claimed to have been faithful, she just needed to believe him. Alysha decided to tell him what Paula had told her.

A Shocking Revelation

At first, Kourbine was speechless. It was almost unbelievable that Alysha had gotten her friend to flirt with him, and test him to see if he would cheat. He was appalled that she did not trust him back then, especially because he had never cheated he said.

The story involving Paula definitely told Alysha another thing altogether about Kourbine and cheating. Why was Kourbine trying to pretend that he was still a good guy in all of this?

Closure

Finally, after listening to Alysha go off about his cheating, Kourbine was allowed to share. When discussing Paula, he said they had never gone on a date, much less spent the night together. One day, when he was working out, she had asked him for some training tips, that had led to a quick lunch, and that was it.

Nothing more had ever happened, and whatever Paula had told Alysha wasn’t true. Why would Paula lie then?

A Business Deal

It was all very confusing for Alysha to hear what had happened between Kourbine and Paula. He was making it sound very believable that they had just spent time discussing business, and how he would train her if she helped to promote his new business.

The more Kourbine talked, the more it sounded like the truth, and Paula was the one in the wrong. Maybe she was not as good of a friend as Alysha had thought.

Was Kourbine Innocent?

Now Alysha doubted herself. Had she broken up with Kourbine for no reason? Perhaps it was simply her own self-doubt that had led to the end of her relationship, not Kourbine. She really hoped she was wrong; after all, Kourbine had once been the man of her dreams, maybe he could be that for her again.

Kourbine just looked at her sadly, as she began to process everything he was saying.

Enter Paula

There was only one person who truly knew what happened, and that was Paula. It was time for her to join the episode and share with the audience once and for all, if Kourbine had cheated. If he had cheated, then the show would be over, but if he had not, Paula would have some questions to answer.

Paula once more said they had spent the night together, which was too much for Alysha. She wanted the truth, and she wanted it now.

A Bad Friend

After a long pause, Paula began to tell Alysha that she had lied about everything. Paula had wanted Kourbine for a long time. She had seen how in love Alysha was with him, and had always wanted him to feel that way about her.

With Alysha thinking he was cheating, it was the perfect excuse to break them up finally. That way Kourbine would be free to date her, or so she thought. He had no interest in Paula once he was single.

Feeling Insecure

Kourbine had loved Alysha, and while he may have flirted with other girls, he had remained loyal to her. Alysha was having trouble with the distance, which is why she was always so unsure of him.

Now that she had to face her issues, it was a lot harder to be angry. She looked at Kourbine, and searched his face, hoping for a sign that he still had feelings for her. After all, they had once had a great relationship.

A Second Chance

Kourbine found himself mulling the situation over. He still had feelings for Alysha, but he could not handle being with her again if she was going to question his every move. He needed her to be secure in herself and realize that she was the only one for him.

Yes, Paula was around, but she was not who he wanted. He wanted Alysha; she would need to understand that. Eventually, after being quiet for a while, the two looked at each other.

Getting Back Together

The estranged couple stared at each other, and all of the feelings they had for one another came rushing to the surface. Alysha began to cry as she looked at Kourbine, and wished that he would say the magic words, which he did.

He asked Alysha if she would be willing to give their relationship another shot, and of course, she said yes. Paula was furious by the situation and immediately left the show.

A Happy Ending

Paula was not heard from again, and Kourbine and Alysha embarked on the next chapter of their romance. Hopefully, Alysha will be able to trust Kourbine now, as he has shown that he loves her, and is loyal.

Now Alysha and Kourbine can plan a future together and not worry about any meddling friends like Paula trying to break them up. We hope that they finally get the happiness they deserve, and Paula stays out of the picture.
