Woman shows up to her ex's wedding and takes out her anger on the cake

Getting married is both amazing and stressful all at once. While the bride and groom are likely trying to plan things as perfectly as possible for their special day, the last thing they’re worried about is an unwanted intruder. Well, one woman decided she was going to destroy her ex’s wedding day, and even started going to extremes to achieve her goal. While it seemed as if the woman was going to get her way, people started coming together to salvage the couple’s memories of their wedding.

Making sure everything is perfect

There seemed to be a point where everything had just come together. This couple had hired a wedding planner to make sure things ran as smoothly as possible. One of the main centerpieces for a wedding is the cake.

This couple had chosen a cake representative for both of them and shelled out hundreds of dollars to buy the special treat. It’s one day in their whole lives, so why wouldn’t they want the best?

Party time

The couple had a fantastic ceremony, the day was beautiful, and everything was perfect. Everyone made their way to the reception, which was set up to be a magnificent celebration for the bride and groom. However, an unwanted surprise guest decided to show up, deciding she couldn’t let her ex go on being happy with another woman.

After crashing in, she decided she was going to start trying to rip the place apart. She knew one thing she could destroy that would create a hole in the day, and that’s the wedding cake. Everyone was stunned by her entry, unsure of what they should do.

Destroying the cake

This ex was making a beeline for the couple’s cake. She decided that she was going to hurl the cake as hard as she could at the newly-married couple. If she was somehow trying to break them up, it was too late – they were husband and wife.

However, that didn’t matter, she just wanted to ruin the day. She had thrown the cake all over the floor, destroying the creation and a centerpiece for the day with one move. If that wasn’t bad enough, she wasn’t going to stop there. The cake wasn’t enough for this ex, she needed to make things even worse for the couple.

She clearly hadn’t just come to destroy the cake, this woman had destruction on the mind, and she wanted to deal as much as possible before someone tried stopping her. Once she had annihilated the cake, it was time to focus her attention on something else.

The easiest and closest target was then the bottles of drink. So, she continued her rampage, grabbing these bottles and smashing them all over the floor. The liquid that came out of the smashed glass stained red blotches wherever it landed, ruining the decorations and making it all look like a terrifying horror scene.

She ruined the bride’s dress

While she was smashing these bottles everywhere, it seemed as if people were too afraid to go near the broken glass to subdue this woman. She even managed to ruin the bride’s wedding dress, staining the white gown with the drink in her hand.

The new bride was witnessing her husband’s ex destroy her special day. She had ruined her cake, destroyed expensive drinks, and even dared to ruin the most important dress she might ever wear. This needed to end and, eventually, the groomsmen decided they were going to step in and try to stop the carnage. It wasn’t going very well.

She resisted their attempts

A groomsman couldn’t stand by and watch as his friends’ wedding got destroyed, so he decided to step in and sort it out. He tried restraining the woman, it was the only way he could think of stopping her since she didn’t seem as if she was in her right mind.

The ex-wife assaulted the groomsmen in an attempt to get him off her, and so she can continue her rampage. She showed no signs of stopping.

Taking the next step

They couldn’t wait any longer, this woman was proving to be threatening and clearly wasn’t worried about assaulting people if it came to it. They had had enough, so they decided the police needed to be called, they couldn’t risk any more damage and injuries.

The police took the ex-wife away, charging her with various crimes such as assault, destruction of property, and assault with a weapon. She was taken to jail, where she would be prevented from causing even more trouble.

Saving their celebrations

Now they had finally got rid of the rampant ex-wife, they had a choice. The bride and groom weren’t going to let this woman destroy everything about their special day, so they decided they were going to resume their celebrations and try to forget about her. There was one problem.

Parts of their wedding reception had been utterly destroyed, their cake had been smashed, and there was drink everywhere. They needed help, thankfully, everyone they loved was with them to lend a hand.

They needed solutions

There was no saving the cake. Even after she had thrown and smashed it onto the floor, she had smashed glass bottles into it. The original cake just needed to be thrown away. That left the couple missing a cake… What were they going to do?

It can take days, if not weeks, to properly prepare a wedding cake, so it seemed as if there was no hope of salvaging this part of the day. However, the wedding planner was more optimistic and decided she was going to ring round and figure it out.

The wedding planner may have been tested before, but she really had to pull something together. Sure, it would be last minute, but she had an idea. After ringing around several bakeries, she came across a donut store. Sure, it wouldn’t be their dream cake, but there were things she could do.

By this time, the donut store wasn’t staying open for very long, so she was racing against time. The planner spoke to the manager of the store, and pleaded with him for his help, explaining what had just happened.

It’s not every day that you go into a store and ask for everything they’ve got. Well, that was the day the wedding planner was going to ask the donut store manager for his entire stock. The store was going to close in an hour, and he would have to wait, costing him money in paying for staff.

The wedding planner had to get there as soon as possible, or it might not work out. However, the donut store manager agreed she could buy the rest of his remaining stock.

Inspired by the bride

Planning a wedding can be loads of fun, and you get to chat with the bride and groom about a bunch of things they love and what makes them happy. Well, the wedding planner knew the bride absolutely loved donuts and had done ever since she was a young girl.

Safe to say, once the wedding planner had proposed this idea to the bride and groom, the bride absolutely loved the idea. She may have lost her dream cake, but who could say no to donuts?

A helping hand

Safe to say, once he realized the request was real, the donut store manager was quite eager to have someone buy his entire stock. He knew that they were desperate but had no idea about the finer details of what had happened.

It did become clear, however, just how important this was for the bride and groom, and that he would be helping them out a lot by keeping his store open a little longer.

Throwing in a sweet gift

The manager waited for the wedding planner to arrive, confused but eager. When she did finally get there, she explained what had transpired earlier on, and highlighted just how desperate this couple was to sort their day out. He was more than happy to help.

It all made sense now, and he even had an idea to help lift their spirits. It wasn’t going to be much, but he personalized two delicious eclairs with the bride and groom’s names. It added a personal touch.

Adding an instruction

The manager knew that the couple no longer had their special cake, and they needed something to cut to complete the cake-cutting ceremony. The process is a symbol of unity, and without it, it just doesn’t feel right.

However, he wouldn’t have to wait long before his burning questions were answered. Secretly, the bride and groom were planning to drop by to the store and personally thank the man who helped add a little bit of something special to their day.

The donut store manager was confused as to why a couple was asking for him by name, it wasn’t something that happened very often. The couple were described as looking very in love, and they explained that they had just returned from their honeymoon.

They explained they were the couple who bought his donuts, whose names were on the eclairs, and who thoroughly loved every detail that had been put into the presentation. They wanted to thank him in person for what he did.

Of course, everyone who attended the wedding will have come out with a crazy story. While weddings always have a minor hitch here and there, how many see someone’s ex crash and destroy everything in their path?

Keeping it cool

The bride and groom could have reacted in any way they liked, after all, someone had crashed their wedding and proceeded to try and ruin everything they could. However, instead of entertaining screaming, shouting, or even threatening behavior, they kept their cool.

At the end of it all, the ex-wife became irrelevant. Despite her best efforts, everyone came together to give the bride and groom the wedding they deserved, making it a memorable day for better reasons than her.
